As Canada’s smallest province at 224 km long, our coastline of sand dunes and red cliffs is deeply indented. PEI is believed to have the highest concentration of lighthouses in North America with 61 lighthouses and range lights. On average, you can find one lighthouse every 55 km. A red and white lighthouse makes for a breathtaking photo backdrop.

The Island has eight, easy-to-find lighthouses open as community museums, as listed below. Yes, the climb to the top may be challenging, but the panoramic views of the land and sea make it worthwhile.
