Under the Spire Experience world-class music

Under the Spire

Published August 1, 2025 | Sponsored by / Commandité par Under the Spire

Under the Spire is a summer concert series in a magnificent heritage church in idyllic rural Prince Edward Island. After 30 years of programming world-class music, Under the Spire has evolved to present diverse genres - including classical, folk, pop, jazz, world music and more. This historic venue, St. Mary's, was built for music by famed PEI architect William Critchlow Harris, who took his inspiration from the inside of a violin. Today, the exceptional acoustics of this French-Gothic building have earned it an international reputation, making it a favourite among both performers and fans alike.

Experience the magic of the music under the spire this summer with artists including Rose Cousins, Inn Echo, Heather Rankin, JP Cormier and other exceptional musical artists.

Next door to Historic St. Mary's is the Provincial Credit Union Pavilion. Constructed in 2017 and designed by David Sisam, the pavilion offers breathtaking views of rural PEI and a licensed kitchen. Beyond hosting the concert series, this gorgeous property is available for rentals from May to October each year.

Under the Spire, with its two distinctive venues, stands as a shining example of Prince Edward Island’s vibrant arts and culture sector. For 30 years, festival organizers have brought world-class music to this rural community, and they remain committed to carrying that legacy forward for years to come.
