The PEI Mapletini
What do you get when you cross St. Patrick’s Day with maple syrup season on PEI? A lucky charm of a cocktail, said to be a favourite of local leprechauns.

Ingredients
- 1 oz. Deep Roots Distillery Maple Liqueur
- 1 oz. of Irish Cream
- 1 oz. of whole milk (or cream if you need the extra calories)
- Ice cubes
- Cocoa powder and chocolate shavings
- Granulated maple sugar
Directions
- Rim a martini glass with granulated maple sugar.
- Combine the Maple Liqueur, Irish Cream, whole milk and a handful of ice cubes in a cocktail shaker. Shake for 10 seconds.
- Strain into your prepared martini glass and garnish with cocoa powder and some chocolate shavings.

Mocktail version
Ingredients
- 1 oz. maple syrup
- 1 oz. Irish cream–style coffee creamer (vanilla, caramel, or chocolate flavour works great)
- 1 oz. whole milk (or cream for extra richness)
- Ice cubes
- Granulated maple sugar (for rimming the glass)
- Cocoa powder and chocolate shavings (for garnish)
Directions
- Wet the rim of a martini glass lightly (a bit of milk or maple syrup works), then dip it in granulated maple sugar.
- Add maple syrup, Irish cream-style creamer, whole milk and ice cubes to a cocktail shaker. Shake for 10 seconds.
- Strain into your prepared martini glass and garnish with cocoa powder and some chocolate shavings.
