Since the first course opened its gates in 2011, Prince Edward Island has propelled itself to the world stage and has come to be known as a disc golfer’s paradise. With 20 courses and many random baskets in public parks, PEI should consider changing its nickname from “Garden of the Gulf” to “Garden of Disc Golf."

Central Coastal Drive

  • Huck It Disc Golf in Middleton is a favorite disc golf destination for Islanders and visitors alike in all seasons.
  • Nestled in the hills of this region is Rose Valley Disc Golf. Its nine holes weave around the front half of a sprawling field of the farm.
  • In the scenic rolling hills of Bonshaw, the number one-ranked course in Canada, Hillcrest Farm, operates from May until early November.
  • At Forest Hills Disc & Golf Course in Cavendish, enjoy a fun and challenging 18-hole design with two 18-hole layouts of shorts and long tee pads.

Charlottetown area

Check out 9-hole courses at Charlottetown Rural High School, Stratford Town Hall and the Fox Hole in Cornwall. These courses are great for beginners and all three offer free disc rentals.

Points East Coastal Drive

  • Belfast Disc Golf is the newest course in the province. It opened on July 12 at 1820 Garfield Road.
  • Stop at Kings Pine DiscGolfPark in Elliotvale to enjoy a game and a scenic hike through its stunning pinewood forest.
  • Glenaladale Disc Golf course is located on the historic Glenaladale Estate.
