Visitors should note that dogs and other pets are not permitted on national park beaches from April 1 to October 15. Please plan ahead!
Well-known among local beach lovers is Stanhope Beach, located in the Brackley-Dalvay region of PEI National Park. Perfect for a family beach day with its wide sandbars, surf guard services (in July and August) and accompanying playground, Stanhope may be the perfect destination for your next adventure.
Equipped with washrooms and a new kitchen shelter, Stanhope is also one of PEI National Park’s more accessible beaches with the inclusion of enhanced accessibility features such as ramps, designated parking, mobility mats and beach wheelchairs and buoyant beach chairs (available by reservation).
LIFEGUARD NOT ON DUTY at this time. When beaches are UNSUPERVISED, visitors swim at their OWN RISK.
National Park Beach Safety
Surfguards are on duty at PEI National Park locations from the end of June to Labour Day. They aim to post surf conditions each day by 11 am.
