Any good place to take my 7 year old son fishing for Brook trout near Georgetown mid august?

Hello,
Thank you for reaching out, I am so glad to hear you are coming to visit! I hear that the Cardigan River is a great spot for trout fishing. Cardigan is about 10 kilometres from Georgetown.
Before heading out, check out the Prince Edward Island government's webpage on Angling Resources to find information on licensing, and regulations. They even have a map of PEI fishing locations!
While in Cardigan, stop by the Cardigan Area Heritage Centre. They have a great display of artifacts of the shipbuilding history of the area. It's so cool! I bet they would also know some fishing hotspots.
If you are interested in a deep-sea fishing adventure, check out Tranquility Cove Adventures in Georgetown! They offer a family adventure that covers a lot of what we are about here on Prince Edward Island and it includes a great BBQ on board!
Have a great time!
