I understand it was possible to have a real horse drawn carriage ride called Matthew’s Carriage Ride, I believe now it is only offered as a tractor pull. Are there any companies that offer true horse drawn carriage rides? Thank you!

Thank you for your question to Ask An Islander.
Yes you are right Matthew's Carriage Ride is done by tractor now, however I had the pleasure of going for a ride this summer and it was lovely along the lake of shining waters and through the beautiful flower gardens. Emerald Isle Carriage Tours operates a great horse and carriage historical tour that leaves from Founders Hall and tours through Charlottetown. They do Christmas light tours through Charlottetown as well and you can also book them for private events and horse and sleigh rides in the winter. Any time of the year is a great time for a horse and carriage ride!
Thank you for the great question,

Asked: I will be visiting Souris in early July 2024. I would love to take in a traditional lobster boil ( if that’s the correct wording , with the potatoes and corn and sea food ). Is there a local area known for offering this?
