If I was staying in Charlottetown for 2 days like say tonight and tomorrow and I wanted to make the most of my stay can you recommend somethings to do and some great places to eat

Good morning Sheri;
Thank you for reaching out to Ask an Islander. This weekend is a great one to visit Charlottetown with great stage performances, events and new summer menus.
Just last night, my husband and I ate at the Pilot House. The Parmesan-crusted haddock was delicious. Our daughter works there and her recommendations are the Mediterranean Bowl, the haddock and the salmon. Another great place to eat in Charlottetown is Peake's Quay overlooking the water. I love their house salad with anything on the menu. Another recommendation is Sunday brunch at Slaymaker & Nicholas. The menu is upscale and the atmosphere is chic.
For casual dining and a great outdoor atmosphere, dine at the Charlottetown Beer Garden with live music from 6:00 to 10:00 pm.
In terms of events, the opportunities are endless. Here are my top 5 recommendations:
- The PEI Festival of Small Halls continues all weekend;
- 40th anniversary bash at the Olde Dublin Pub with great food and live music;
- Opening weekend for Tell Tale Harbour with Alan Doyle at the Confederation Centre of the Arts;
- The Island Tides Yoga & Wellness Festival is on, with some tickets available for certain events; and
- Summer Kick Off Night Market at Founders' Food Hall with live performance by the Love Junkies.
There is no time to wait. Pack the car and enjoy the drive to Prince Edward Island.
Have a great weekend!
