Is PEI LGBTQ friendly??

Thank you for your question to Ask an Islander! Prince Edward Island is very 2SLGBTQIA+ friendly! Our lovely Island offers plenty of activities, events, opportunities, and supports that are 100% 2SLGBTQIA+ friendly. The Island truly has something for everyone, whether you are interested in sightseeing, diverse cuisine, culture, and everything in between!

If you're visiting in July, check out the annual PEI Pride Festival. This event features BBQs, dance parties, drag shows, family activities, and a Pride Parade in Charlottetown and Victoria-by-the-Sea.

A few other great resources to look into are Pride PEI, Purple Roofs - PEI, and the PEI Transgender Network.

Also, make sure to check out the newly opened Be You Bar, PEI's first-ever 2SLGBTQIA+ friends-and-allies nightclub and safe space!
