What type of power outlet is used in Canada?

Answer by:

Good morning Anthony;

Thank you for your inquiry to Ask an Islander. The power outlets used here in Canada are the same as in the US - a 120V supply voltage and 60Hz.

If you haven't done so already, download our 2023 visitor’s guide or pick up a hard copy when you arrive at the airport or any Visitor Information Centre. You can always stay in touch by signing up for the Tourism PEI newsletter which includes details on upcoming festivals and events and recipes too!

Have a fabulous vacation!
