Where can you eat something like a fisherman’s or seafood platter, different kinds of seafood in one plate?
Hi Chantal,
I've got three really great options for restaurants to check out for seafood platters on Prince Edward Island. The first spot is Clam Diggers in Cardigan. Their menu is heavily seafood-focused, with a seafood platter that features lobster, crab, mussels, and shrimp. I would recommend ordering the steamed clams from the appetizer menu. This menu item is very seasonal so enjoy them if you have the opportunity.
If you're interested in more of a golden brown, fried seafood platter, visit Water Prince Corner Shop. Their platter includes deep-fried scallops along with lobster and mussels. Water Prince, located in Charlottetown, is an iconic spot for seafood among visitors and locals. Their chowder is one not to be missed.
The third place I'm going to suggest has portions so generous that all of it cannot fit onto a platter. At New Glasgow Lobster Suppers, your meal will include freshly baked old-fashioned rolls, salads, mussels, lobster (and other seafood options) and their famous mile-high lemon meringue pie. You will be so fufll, you might need help getting back to your vehicle. Ha! Ha!
If you prefer cured fish, check out the seacuterie at Blue Mussel Cafe and Point Prim Chowder House.
Happy eating!
