Where can you eat something like a fisherman’s or seafood platter, different kinds of seafood in one plate?

Answer by:

Hi Chantal,

I've got three really great options for restaurants you can check out that feature seafood platters. The first spot is Clam Diggers in Cardigan. Their menu is heavily seafood focused with a seafood platter that features lobster, crab, mussels and shrimp. I would recommend ordering the steamed clams from the appetizer menu. It's very seasonal so if you have the opportunity to enjoy them, do it!

If you're interested in more of a golden brown, fried seafood platter, Water Prince Corner Shop includes deep fried scallops along with lobster and mussels. Water Prince is located in Charlottetown, and is an iconic spot for seafood among visitors and locals. Their chowder is one not to be missed.

The third place I'm going to suggest has portions so generous that it all can't fit on to one platter. The New Glasgow Lobster Suppers includes freshly baked old fashioned rolls, salads, mussels, lobster (and other seafood options) and their famous mile-high lemon meringue pie. You will be so full, you might need help getting back to your vehicle. Ha! Ha!

If you prefer cured fish, check out the seacuterie at Blue Mussel Cafe and Point Prim Chowder House.

Happy Eating!
