Cranberry Pudding
1 1/3 cup flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt (optional)
3/4 cup molasses
1/2 cup boiling water (mix into molasses)
1 1/2 cups cranberries
Stir flour, baking soda and salt (if using) in steam dish. Add water and molasses mixture. Stir. Fold in cranberries. Steam for 2 hours.
Sauce
1/4 cup butter
3/4 cup cream or canned milk
3/4 cup white or brown sugar
or brandy sauce
1/3 cup plus 2 tbs. butter
3 tbs. brown sugar
1 tbs. dark corn syrup
1 tbs. brandy
For both sauces, mix and heat until slightly thickened.
