Hi Nick,
The answer to your question would be The Links at Crowbush Cove. Crowbush is set on the dunes of the North Shore in Lakeside, 30 minutes east of Charlottetown. It's the most well known course on the Island and has been perennially ranked among the top courses in Canada. Thomas McBroom designed Crowbush which opened in 1993. In 1994 Golf Digest named it the Best New Course in Canada.
There are 8 holes that either run along or have a view of one of the best beaches on the North Shore. Because of the close proximity to the water, wind is always a factor at Crowbush, one hole in particular stands out, the par 3 number 8. The tee shot on this hole is a forced carry over water to a large green protected by dune on one side and bunkers on the other. It measures 219 from the back tee (all of which is carry), but gets more reasonable as you move up a tee deck or two. The wind is either into you or pushing hard from the right off the water. A three here is a heroic golf feat.
Crowbush has been fortunate to host some of the best players in the world such as Fred Couples, Mark O'Meara, John Daly, and Mike Weir during the 1998 Export A Skins Game, Vijay Singh and Mike Weir during the 2007 Legends of Golf event, and many more notable players as a Canadian Tour venue.
After the round make sure that take time to enjoy a cold one on the second floor deck that looks over one of the most memorable views in golf.
