Are there any companies, organizations or individuals that put together scavenger hunts (by car) for families or groups to do while staying in the Cavendish area?

Good afternoon Erna,

Thank you for contacting Ask an Islander. Your question is a unique one and such a great idea for a vacation activity while on  Prince Edward Island. Here are two options :

  • Discovery Hunt (Central) provides groups with the chance to explore the central region of PEI from the north shore to the south shore.
  • geocaching - a quick Google search for "geocaching cavendish pei" indicates several documented "hunts" on foot in the Cavendish area. Watch this geocaching video if you are not familiar with this type of treasure hunt. Personally, I've gone geo caching once and it was a lot of fun.

My family and I enjoy doing car rallies and were once part of a group that did one each fall. We explored back roads and often cemeteries that we had never seen before.

If you post any photos to social media, be sure to tag us #ExplorePEI.

Enjoy!
