Are there whale watching tours near Reunion Cottages in Stanhope?

Hi Bonnie;
Thank you for contacting Ask an Islander. You will not find whale watching tour operators in close proximity of the Stanhope area. The good news is everything is relatively close in PEI. Jeff MacNeill's Deep Sea Fishing out of North Lake is highly recommended.
Captain Jeff and crew can most certainly find whales for you to see. He'll also help you catch some mackerel to take home, if you wish.
The drive from Stanhope to North Lake is just a bit more than an hour and very scenic. Follow Route #2 to St. Peter's and north along Route #16 from there. You can return via Route #2 all the way for new views through Souris and Rollo Bay. If you have the time, visit the East Point Lighthouse.This part of the Points East Coastal Drive is beautiful and worth the time to explore.

I invite you to download or order our 2023 visitor’s guide. You can always stay in touch by signing up for the Tourism PEI newsletter which includes details on upcoming festivals and events and recipes too!
Have a wonderful summer vacation!

Asked: I will be visiting Souris in early July 2024. I would love to take in a traditional lobster boil ( if that’s the correct wording , with the potatoes and corn and sea food ). Is there a local area known for offering this?
