Good afternoon from Prince Edward Island,

Thank you for your question to Ask an Islander about camping. There are eight provincial campgrounds across the province. When you rent an unserviced site at one of these parks, it is up to you to choose to shelter in a tent or your vehicle.

If you are interested in camping with one of the 30 plus private operators in the province, you would have to contact the campground of interest to discuss individual policies in this regards.

The Prince Edward Island National Park campgrounds offer equipped campsites in case you are interested.

All the best with your journey!
