Hello Brenda,

Thank you for your question to Ask an Islander.

There are many walking groups in Charlottetown and across PEI.  A popular choice is go!PEI , a community based healthy initiative program. The contact for the Charlottetown location is Tracy and she can be reached at 902-368-1025 or by email at [email protected]. Other walking club options include The Haviland Club The Alzheimer Society, and Hiking PEI. Specialty options include:  weekly walking group for individuals with sight loss.  Tails to Trails is an excellent dog walking group offered through Spot On Dogs Training.

Walking and staying active is an essential part of a healthy lifestyle. Hopefully, you will find a club from these options that meets your expectations and needs.

Regards,

Kevin Barbour
