Entering by ferry and leaving by confederation bridge , who do I pay and how much, hauling a 2 axle rv trailer with a 1500 pickup

Answer by:

Hello Elwood,

Thank you for your question to Ask an Islander.

When travelling to the Island it is free by the bridge and ferry, with the exception, if you make a reservation to come across the ferry to guarantee passage, they will charge you for the crossing. It is recommended to arrive 45 minutes before the crossing and most, if not all, waiting traffic gets loaded onto the next ferry. It is a first come, first serve loading, except for those who make a reservation.

As you will be leaving by the Confederation Bridge, it is $50.25 (first two axels) for your vehicle and then $8.50 for each additional axel. So, that would be $50.25 plus $17.00 for a total of $67.25.

Enjoy your visit!
