Good morning from Prince Edward Island,

Thank you for reaching out to Ask an Islander. So happy to hear that you will be visiting us on Canada Day.

This year, the City of Summerside is hosting a free Blue Rodeo concert. I will probably be there too with my family. Another favourite for locals and visitors alike is the North Rustico celebration

Our Canada Day page is a work in progress and I invite you to check it out now and closer to your arrival date.

If you haven't done so already, download our 2025 visitor’s guide or pick up a hard copy when you arrive at the airport or any Visitor Information Centre. You can always stay in touch by signing up for the Tourism PEI newsletter which includes details on upcoming festivals and events and recipes too!

Have a fabulous vacation! Thank you for choosing Prince Edward Island.

Asked: I will be visiting Souris in early July 2024. I would love to take in a traditional lobster boil ( if that’s the correct wording , with the potatoes and corn and sea food ). Is there a local area known for offering this?
