Hi JoAnna,

Thank you for contacting Ask An Islander. Please see below for some festivals and celebrations that are happening in late September:

Fall Flavours Food & Drink Festival: A two-week celebration of the fall harvest on Canada's Food Island. Sample and celebrate PEI lobster, oysters, mussels, beef,     potatoes and more at this premier culinary festival.

Come From Away: Come From Away is based on the true story of a small town that welcomed the world. What started as an average day in Gander, Newfoundland turned into a historic moment when 38 planes carrying thousands of people were diverted there on September 11, 2001.

Cavendish Literary Festival: The festival features four delightful days of intimate events, including workshops, author talks and wellness retreats set in Cavendish’s  charming countryside. All venues within 10-minute drive.

Live at the Horseshoe Tavern: Step inside Toronto’s legendary Horseshoe Tavern for an unforgettable night celebrating Canada’s greatest musical storyteller. The show blends live music, shared memories, vintage footage and stories from the road—giving fans both old and new a rare chance to relive the legacy of a national icon. Playing Thursdays in September. Also, the Stompin' Tom Centre Homestead & Schoolhouse offers a restaurant, museum, and daily live music!

Lastly, for even more events please visit our Festivals & Events Prince Edward Island page on our Tourism PEI website. Once there you can narrow down your search by selecting the exact dates you will be visiting and the region of PEI you prefer.

Have a great day,

Jonah
