How can we get from the cruise terminal to Cavendish (Anne of Green Gables). It seems the cruise line tours are sold out

Answer by:

Hello Robert,

Thank you for your question to Ask an Islander.

There are many options for getting to Cavendish from the Port of Charlottetown.

Avonlea Village and Green Gables Heritage Place are about a 45-minute drive from the seaport in Charlottetown. I think that your best bet would be a tour company like Tours R Us, Jack's Tours PEI or PEI Unique Custom Tours when you have multiple destinations in mind.

We do have Kari and URide, PEI's version of rideshare. There are also lots of taxi services or car rental to get you around.

We also have public transit, the T3 bus. Depending on when you arrive, it does have a route from Charlottetown to Cavendish in peak season, but then you would be on your own for getting around while in Cavendish.  Ideally, this would not be advisable with a limited time schedule.

See you soon!
