If you could eat at one seafood restaurant on Prince Edward Island, where would it be?

Hi Cindy,
Thank you for reaching out on Ask An Islander.
No matter where you find yourself on the Island, you're never far away from a place where you can enjoy oysters. In Charlottetown, there are numerous places where you can select oysters off of the menu, all you need to think about is what vibe you're looking for. Looking for a relaxed oyster experience? There is a floating dock that is dotted with lots of food spots including the Shell Shack. The shell shack offers freshly shucked oysters, chowder, mussels, and an amazing crab dip that is not to be missed. The view is fantastic as you're right on the waterfront!
For a more relaxed elegance, Sea Rocket is a great space to enjoy oysters on their patio. Sea Rocket, in Charlottetown is one of the newer restaurants on the block and has a heavy focus on seafood and shellfish. They are located in the heart of historic downtown Charlottetown, On their menu, they have both fresh and baked oysters. The baked comes 3 ways- Rockefeller, Miso Aioli, and Champagne cream. My favourite of the 3 actually is the champagne cream; this might be a great opportunity to try some variations on the classic Rockefeller.
If you happen to be heading east towards Belfast, Point Prim Chowder House is a must visit, in addition to their seafood platter, they have amazing chowder, lobster rolls, and steamer pots of assorted shellfish.
The seacuterie board at The Blue Mussel Cafe in Rustico is one of the originators of the seacuterie grazing plates, and paired with the waterfront view is arguably magical! Their lobster dip is beloved favourite for both visitors and locals alike, and their seafood bubbly bake gets local hero plate special honours. It's like a shepherd's pie, but with a bountiful selection of seafood as opposed to ground meat; the mashed potato and cheese topping is to die for!
Enjoy!
