I’ll be staying at Brudenell Provincial Park for a week in mid September. I’m looking for restaurant recommendations worth a visit. I’m not looking for fine dining, just good food appreciated by locals. JoJo

Hi Jojo,

September is a lovely time of year to visit PEI and Brudenell Park!  For casual dining in the area, travel to Montague for a number of options. 'The Station Cafe' has a harbour view. I have heard great reviews about 'What's Good'.  'Famous Peppers' has great pizza. 'Stella's' food truck and 'Lady Slipper Cafe' are both good. For the Best Burger, visit 'Dinger's Dive'. Look for the green door on the outside of the Down East Mall.

In Georgetown, visit the 'Maroon Pig'. Known for their baked goods and coffee, they also have a daily lunch special.  'The Georgetown Historic Inn' has a casual dining room and serves breakfast and supper.

In Cardigan, the 'Celebration Station', set in the historic train station, has a simple menu.

If you want to venture further, visit 'The Home Plate' in Murray River for their legendary Irish breakfast.  In Murray Harbour, a must try is the prize-winning chowder at 'Harbourview Restaurant'.

A bit more upscale is 'Clamdiggers' in Cardigan, and 'The Wheelhouse' in Georgetown. Do check their online menus!

Enjoy your visit!
