Is A Distant Shore Cottages a legitimate business. I asking as they have asked me to e transfer and pay for my room without any form.

Hello Melinda, 

Thank you for reaching out to Ask an Islander. A Distant Shore Beachfront Cottages is a licensed property and is on the Tourism Prince Edward Island website. Have a look at the link provided to see if the contact details match. Is 'Beachfront' in the name of the accommodation you are speaking to? 

They also have a Facebook page that is showing a last minute cancellation, that could be why they are asking for an e-transfer but always err on the side of caution. Can you call them to explain your hesitation, maybe they will offer some sort of confirmation?
