Is there a listing of fall suppers in local communities in September and October?
Hi Kathy,
Thank you for inquiring about our fall suppers. Regrettably, there’s no listing for all community fall suppers per se, but you are practically sure to find some kind of supper (usually a benefit event) organized by a church group or community group every single weekend of the year. Your best bet would simply be to Google “community supper” for a specific community for a specific time frame.
There, however, is a series of events featuring terrific suppers called the Fall Flavours Festival. Each one focusses on a specific type of food and beverage (examples : beef, shellfish, lobster, local beers, etc.) The Festival, which runs Sept. 2 to Oct. 8, features 28 events held from one end of the Island to the other. Renowned chefs oversee the preparation of these culinary delights.
And to top things off, each event also features musical entertainment of a particular style (blues, Acadian, Mik’maq, Irish, Scottish, etc.) Some of the events take place on a single date while others take place over a weekend or longer.
Please note that some of the events are already sold out, so if you’re considering taking in one or more of these events, reserve early. Ticket prices range quite a bit depending on what is being offered.
Good luck and enjoy your trip to PEI!
