I remember many years ago spending a night sleeping in a lighthouse. Can my partner and I still do that? Where? Best wishes, Mike.

Hi Mike,
Thank you for your inquiry to Ask an Islander. How exciting that you are planning a visit to Prince Edward Island.
I have great news for you. Yes, you can still sleep overnight at West Point Lighthouse in our North Cape Coastal Drive region. This designated world heritage site offers guests the opportunity to stay in the Tower Room that overlooks the Northumberland Strait. Just imagine the sunsets!
As you can appreciate, this unique place to stay is very popular. Do not hesitate to make arrangements. This season, the dates of operation are from June 12 to October 11, 2022.
Our 2022 Visitor's Guide will be available in April. Stay in touch by signing up for the Tourism PEI newsletter which includes details on upcoming festivals and events and recipes too!
I hope you have success and a fabulous vacation.
