There’s a question on Ask PEI about camping on the beaches, there’s a lot of people saying they do it all the time, so unless someone corrects that, we’re going to have tents all over our beaches.

Thank you for reaching out to Ask an Islander. I saw that post as well! Government does not support or approve the activity of camping on crown land. We recommend that camping happens at any of our beautiful campgrounds that offer a variety of facilities, including restrooms. We are more than happy to assist people in finding a campground to suit their needs and we will also help to facilitate their bookings.
I appreciate your concern and suggest you contact the Department of Transportation and Infrastructure who manage PEI Crown lands if you wish to share your concerns with them.
