Things to do in and around Summerside: restaurants, homemade crafts, etc

Good morning Anita;
Thank you for reaching out to Ask an Islander. I can only assume that you plan to visit Summerside this summer.
There are a growing number of restaurants in the Summerside area. Personally, I love the diversity now available. Below are my recommendations for traditional dining as well as my favourite spot of rinternational flavour:
- Brother's Two for dinner. Check out their Feast Dinner Theatre that also runs select dates. Always a hoot!
- Samuel's for coffee, breakfast and/or lunch
- PEI Roti for take-out
- Evermoore Brewing Co with live music on Tuesdays and a celtic jam every Saturday
- Deckhouse Pub for a great harbour view

A trip to Holman's for ice cream is a must when in Summerside. So many small batch flavours. You can request two different kinds with a small cone. On Saturdays, visit the farmer's market for a great selection of local produce, food products and craft.
One of my favourite craft shops is PEI Fox Den, located just outside of Summerside in North Bedeque. In Summerside, you'll find several artisan shops at Spinnakers' Landing on the water at 150 Heather Moyse Drive. The gift shop of the Eptek Arts Centre also has a beautiful selection of local craft and great exhibits. For a few more ideas, visit Craft & Gift Shops and select Summerside Area.

Check out our SUMMERSIDE page for more fun ideas while in the area.
I invite you to download or order our 2024 visitor’s guide. You can always stay in touch by signing up for the Tourism PEI newsletter which includes details on upcoming festivals and events and recipes too!
Have a wonderful summer vacation!
