What would be the best beach on the island? And where to get the best lobster roll? I am recapping my trip to the east coast.
Hi Danielle,
When you are in the land of lobster rolls and beaches it’s hard to give you just one for each!
Here are a few of my favourite beaches and ironically a darn good lobster roll is within the vicinity.
Basin Head Beach is one of my favourites although very popular and can be a busy spot there are miles of beach down from the crowds! A great family spot is a lot of fun! On route to or from Basin Head you will pass The Lobster Shack in Souris - one of my favourites for its simplicity well done- the lobster shines brightly in this one! They have amazing Colville Bay Oysters there as well!!
Richard’s is an Island institution- located in Covehead -wildly popular for its lobster roll (and fish and chips) on the North Shore, home of miles of white sandy beaches. Covehead beach hits my list of favourites! It’s a two for one spot!
Cabot Beach Provincial Park located in Malpeque is a childhood favourite with lots to do with the family and great waves! The Malpeque Oyster Barn is a must stop before or after for a great lobster roll among many other shellfish delights!
Hope you have a great time on our Island and find your fill of both of sandy beaches and lobster rolls!
Cheers
