Never been to PEI. Coming for the seafood Festival within the next 3 days. Where is the best to hang out , hotel , location etc ???
Hello Kelly,
Thank you for your question. Downtown Charlottetown is a hub of activity, so I would suggest getting to know the city! The downtown waterfront is perfect for walking, and to peruse shops and restaurants. The main streets in the city are Great George and Queen Street, which is the city centre where you can find coffee shops, local pubs and music, museums, art galleries and more. You can find the "Story of Confederation" at the Confederation Centre of the Arts. It is a free replica of the Chambers of Province House, in which they provide a small educational video explaining the beginnings of Confederation.
As far as hotel recommendations, Charlottetown is full of many lovely accommodations. Listed below are some that would be located in the downtown area within walking distance of all city amenities:
The Delta Prince Edward, The Hotel on Pownal, The Rodd Charlottetown, The Holman Grand, The Arts Hotel, and The Sydney Boutique Inn and Suites.
The Shellfish Festival that was suppose to take place this past weekend was cancelled for safety reasons but we are looking forward to hosting it again next year.
I hope this helps answer some of your questions.
Kind regards,
Jennifer
