We are looking to visit the first week of October are there still things to do and places open at that time?
Hello Michael,
Thank you for your question to Ask an Islander.
There will still be lots to see and do the first of October. The Scarecrow Festival will be happening in downtown Charlottetown, PEI Fiber Festival, Farm Day in the City and Street Feast Block Party are a few of the events happening.
There are lots of amazing restaurants, so plan to enjoy mussels, oysters, lobster, scallops and so much more. Go on the hunt for the best seafood chowder, lobster rolls and fish and chips.
Visit the many museums, art galleries, antiques, lighthouses and theaters. If you love music, we have lots of places for you to enjoy a great toe-tapping experience.
In Charlottetown, join the Ghost Walking Tour and visit the Confederation Centre of the Arts.
I trust you will find lots to see and do!

Asked: I will be visiting Souris in early July 2024. I would love to take in a traditional lobster boil ( if that’s the correct wording , with the potatoes and corn and sea food ). Is there a local area known for offering this?
