We will be there one day from a cruise ship. We love to explore on our own.... Best idea to do on our own ie hiking, biking, light houses directly off the ship.Thank you

Hi Jacqueline,
Hurricane Fiona hit Prince Edward Island on Saturday, September 24 and has greatly impacted all parts of the province. Currently, many homes, businesses and accommodations have been damaged by the hurricane and some remain without power. Clean up efforts are ongoing.
All day-use provincial parks and campgrounds, the Confederation Trail and sections of the Prince Edward Island National Park are closed. Once you arrive in downtown Charlottetown, I would advise you to visit the Visitor Information Centre at Founder's Hall. At that time, staff can advise you of progress of clean up efforts and what is available to you.
All the best,
Verna Lynne Weeks
