We'd love to know the top 3 places to eat in Charlottetown for seafood, moderate budget.

Hi Paula,
As a chef who is passionate about supporting local producers of all kinds, it makes me so happy to see this question cross my desk. As Canada's Food Island, we are fiercely proud of our commitment to our agricultural, aquacultural, entrepreneurial approach to all things culinary. While we certainly do have well-known chain operations, by and large the majority of our food-service operations are independently owned and operated. Here is a link to connect you with what is in season, what adventures are available here on the island as well as additional restaurants you can explore above and beyond the ones I recommend here.
It's quite a nice idea to enjoy dining outside so you are able to take in the spectacular views we have here in the capital. Cork and Cast is located in Charlottetown's brand new floating food court which is located right on the Charlottetown marina. It's a unique way to enjoy delicious seafood right on the water. You will be right in the centre of all of the action.
Now, I would say it is an absolute must to have a lobster roll (or 3!) while you are visiting. One of my favourite spots is Dave's Lobster. The menu is simple and each offering is thoughtful and deliberate. If you are dining with someone else, my recommendation is to order one local's roll and one some fancy. This will give you a great range of experience when it comes to flavour profiles a lobster can have when it is served both hot and chilled.
And lastly, if you’re looking for super-laid back seafood enjoyment, the Shell Shack located on Charlottetown’s floating dock is a must. On the menu, you'll find oysters, chowder, and the most wonderful crab dip! It’s a perfect spot to while a way the afternoon, working your way through the Island seafood offerings.
Enjoy your time on the Island.
