Hello Jim,

Thank you for your question to Ask an Islander.

Although most of the campgrounds on Prince Edward Island open from mid May to early June, there are a few campgrounds that may open earlier in the season. In previous years, the following campgrounds have opened in late April to early May depending on weather conditions. The three potential early camping options include: All Points East Campground, Confederation Trailside Tourist Grounds and Camping Terre Rouge. The Tourism PEI website is a complete and useful resource to planning a vacation including further details on camping possibilities.

Looking forward to your spring camping visit to PEI !

Regards,

Kevin Barbour
