What golf course should not be missed in central or north shore areas? What local music theatre on August 24-26? Is New Glasgow the only lobster supper venue? Thanks
Hi Joan,
There are a number of very good golf courses in the central or North Shore areas. I would suggest that Green Gables should not be missed. The course is in excellent condition and there are many aspects of the Stanley Thompson original design still in play. Others in the area to consider are Glasgow Hills and Eagles Glenn.
Musical theatre options start at the Confederation Centre of the Arts in downtown Charlottetown. There are two options in your time period - ‘Anne of Green Gables - The Musical’ and Tell Tale Harbour. The Watermark Theatre production at that time is not a musical but live theatre in a unique setting.
There are many other musical options almost daily across the Island. I would suggest The Buzz for a listing of events.
Fisherman’s Wharf in North Rustico is another popular lobster supper venue. Both are very good - but hard to beat the homemade pies at New Glasgow.
Enjoy your visit!
