Clyde River

A popular portage area for early Native settlers, Clyde River is cozily nestled into the banks of the West River along P.E.I`s Southern Shore. Offering numerous delightful scenic viewpoints, Clyde River is also home to one of the Island`s most beautiful and popular golf courses. The St. Catherine`s Bridge in neighboring Dunedin is a perfect location for anglers wishing to hook into trophy sea-run Brook Trout which run through the West River system throughout the spring and summer months. Called Oonigunsuk by Natives, which means "portage place", Clyde River`s natural beauty personifies the quaint rural charm of days gone by.

Clyde River is part of the Red Sands Shore Touring Region.
