Hi Debra,

Thank you for reaching out. October is a wonderful time to visit PEI. The weather is still lovely, a bit cooler in the evenings and the fall colours are starting.

The pace does begin to slow down a bit in October, and some things do close after Labour Day but there is still a lot to do and see in October in PEI.

Amusement & Theme Parks, many of these parks are still open into October.

You can still visit many Anne of Green Gables sites well into October. Green Gables Heritage Place is open until October 31st.

You can travel around the island visiting Lighthouses! These can be visited whether they are open or not, but some like Panmure or Souris Lighthouse are open until mid-October.

Take a trip to Orwell Corner Historic Village and surround yourself with the mood, charm, and activities of a small Prince Edward Island agricultural crossroads in the 1890s. Enjoy a Victorian Harvest Feast experience! Take part in all aspects of preparing a traditional harvest meal of the era.

Ceilidhs are still happening all across the Island in October, sure to get your toes tapping.

Corn mazes, sunflower fields, and Fall Flavours events.

The beaches are open anytime.

Hope to see you in October!
