Hello Franklin,
Thank you for your question to 'Ask an Islander'.
While overnight parking is generally not permitted in business parking lots across Prince Edward Island, travelers in RVs, trailers, vans, or similar vehicles have several suitable alternatives and options. Numerous campgrounds across Prince Edward Island are equipped to accommodate overnight stays and provide the appropriate amenities, to ensure your stay is comfortable, enjoyable, and the best experience it can be.
Tourism PEI staff recommend utilizing licensed accommodations, such as campgrounds, to ensure compliance with local regulations and to promote a safe and enjoyable experience. There is a helpful list of campgrounds from tip-to-tip across Prince Edward Island that can be found on the official tourism website under the “Where to Stay” tab.
I hope this helps with your planning to Prince Edward Island. If you have any other questions, please feel free to reach out again.
Have a great rest of your afternoon,
Keira
