Best dessert open in evening in Charlottetown

Answer by:

Hello Cherish,

Thank you for your sweet question to Ask an Islander.

There are many wonderful places in Charlottetown for dessert. My absolute favourite is the Charlottetown Bakery & Cafe. It is an eggless and mostly dairy free bakery. Their carrot cake is amazing, but I cannot say no to their chocolate cake and I don't leave without getting some blueberry cheesecake squares. A great spot to grab some items for a picnic under the stars.

If you are looking to feel a tad fancy with your dessert, I tend to find a seat at the Rodd's Charlottetown in their restaurant Chambers Restaurant & Bar. Usually three or four dessert items to pick from, so pick a few and share!!

Although Helen's Pastry is not open late, her amazing desserts are available at Slaymakers & Nichols.

On Victoria Row, sit and enjoy the music while devouring the desserts from with John Brown Richmond Street and/or Receiver Coffee.

All of these spots are open a little later and would be ideal for a declaration of "best dessert ever".

Have a sweet visit!
