Best time for lobster, when does the season start and end.

Hello Brenda,

Thank you for reaching out to Ask an Islander!

There are two lobster seasons on Prince Edward Island. The first, from early May (happening now) until the end of June and again mid-August to mid-October. Our fishers catch enough lobster during our first season to last until our second season. Each season, live lobster is stored in state-of-the-art saltwater tanks.

So anytime between May and October is a good time for lobster!

Hope to see you soon!

Valerie
