Can you access the trail near Hunter River and is there car parking?

Thanks for your question about accessing the trail near Hunter River.
There is excellent access to the Confederation Trail in Hunter River. The trail passes right through the village and there is parking right next to the old train station. You can have a look at the Confederation Trail Map here.
If you're staying in Hunter River, I'd recommend the Heritage Classic Inn. You can likely also leave your car there. The owner is also a talented woodworker and makes great chairs and benches for your garden.
Harmony House Theatre in Hunter River hosts some great live music shows in the summer. Here is the link to their website.
