During the summer, when is the best time to visit PEI. What are the recommended things to do with 2 teenagers? We were thinking of staying near Charlottetown but are open to other ideas if it will allow us to get the most out of a 1 week trip?

Hello Aileen,

Thank you for your question to Ask an Islander.

July and August are both wonderful times to visit PEI with 2 teenagers. There are numerous festivals & events to experience, amusement & theme parks to enjoy, lighthouses to explore, and outdoor activities to entertain all ages, depending on your interests. Staying in Charlottetown allows you to be centrally located so that you can also venture off on day trips quite easily to experience some of what PEI has to offer, including fantastic beaches & parks, interesting art galleries and gift shops, intriguing museums and historic sites, and last but certainly not least, Anne of Green Gables. No matter when you decide to visit, or where you decide to stay, Prince Edward Island offers something unique for everyone. We only hope that you take the time to enjoy it!

All the best,

Lisa Campbell
