Hi! Wondering where the best place to -see whales in PEI is? Also looking for lobster tour recommendations! Thanks in advance!!

Hello Stephanie,
Thank you for your question to Ask an Islander.
Although Beluga whales were making an appearance on some PEI rivers and harbours, it is typically not the norm and they can be tricky to come across. Whales tend to migrate with fish stock in the early spring and then again in the early fall. I would recommend going on a deep-sea fishing adventure. This way, you get to experience and learn about all things seafood while keeping your catch, and maybe, although rare, you get the chance to spot a whale.
To name a few among the plenty that we offer on the island:
Top Notch Charters offers lobster excursions as well. With these tours you can learn what a lobster fisherman does on the daily and also enjoy some fresh PEI lobster.
Get ready for a day of fishing, fun, and maybe a surprise whale sighting!
Take care,
Taylor
