Hello Veronique,

Thank you for your question to Ask an Islander.

Late August through mid September is a beautiful time to visit Prince Edward Island. The weather in early September is similar to the summer. The average temperature ranges from 18 to 22 degrees in the afternoon.  It may be a good idea to have a light jacket as the evenings and mornings tend to be cooler. Usually the water temperature is warm in September to swim.

The Tourism PEI website is an excellent resource in planning a vacation to Prince Edward Island.

We are looking forward to your late summer visit!

Regards,

Kevin Barbour
