Hello Gerald,

Thank you for reaching out. I guess it would depend on where you are buying your lobster and whether it's cooked or live. MacKinnon's Lobster Pound currently has lobster at $13.99 for a one-pound cooked and ready-to-ship lobster.

The Lobster Shack in Souris sells their live market lobster for $11.75/lb and $15.95 each for a 1 1/4 lb cooked lobster.

The fall lobster season starts August 11th in the area from Victoria by the Sea to Tignish. You may be able to find live lobster for sale at the wharves at this time. Prices at the wharf will depend on what the price is set at for this year. That price to the fishermen is usually set within the first few days of the season.

I hope that gives you an idea of what to expect.

Kindly,

Valerie
