If I visit all 3 coastal drives in PEI, should i stay in each area or one central location?
Hello Helen,
Thanks for your question to Ask an Islander.
Prince Edward Island has three scenic coastal drives to discover: Points East Coastal Drive, Central Coastal Drive and North Cape Coastal Drive. Each one offers a different and unique experience, whether you choose one central location or select a location in each of the drives to stay.
Historic downtown Charlottetown is an excellent central location for a home base to explore the Island. The Delta Prince Edward, The Holman Grand Hotel or The Rodd Charlottetown are examples of Charlottetown's first-class places to stay. I highly suggest that you find one specific accommodation in the central area of the province during your stay. That way, you will only have the find one accommodation and can easily diverge either east or west when staying in the middle of the Island. This would be the most economical and convenient choice!
The Tourism PEI website is a useful resource in planning a vacation, including further details on a comprehensive listing under "Where to Stay".
We look forward to your visit to explore and experience Prince Edward Island.
Regards,
Kevin Barbour
