If you only had 5 days, were staying near Summerside, and wanted a true East Coast sample (minus the tourist spots) of the best places to eat seafood, scenic drives, and music of the nearest ceilidh, what would you recommend?thanks so much!

Hi Sunny!

Ok, here we go! Let's start with eating! For Island dining and craft beer, I would suggest Evermoore Brewing Co. They also have ceilidhs on Saturdays! Then head over to Holman's Ice Cream Parlour for the best homemade ice cream you've ever had.

Not too far away from Summerside you'll find the town of Kensington and the Island Stone Pub, a favourite stop of mine when I am in the area.

Summerside is the home of The College of Piping. On Tuesdays and Saturdays, Michael Pendergast takes the stage in an all-new version of Pendy’s Pub. A fun show of music, stories and laughter!

Ceilidhs! Just a 30 minute drive from Summerside you'll find the Stanley Bridge Ceilidh and the Chaisson Trio! You are sure to have a toe-tappin' time.

It doesn't get more scenic than the North Cape Coastal Drive. Head west from Summerside and take in the rugged red cliffs and red and white sand beaches!

Have a great time!
