I’ll be in South Rustico next week and want to go to a ceilidh. What one do you recommend?

Good morning;
Thank you for reaching out to Ask an Islander. You have several choices from your location, as follows:
- On Sundays, there is a ceilidh at the Cymbria Lions Club in South Rustico at 7:30 PM.
- In Stanley Bridge, only 14 minutes by car, there is a different performer every night of the week (except Sunday). My personal favourite is Leon Gallant & Friends. They play on Tuesday and Friday nights at 7:30 PM.
- On Wednesdays, you can enjoy free music in the park in North Rustico, beginning at 6:00 PM. For a full schedule, visit our Ceilidhs & Kitchen Parties list.
If you are interested in learning to play the spoons so that you can join in the fun, take a lesson at an authentic fishing shanty in North Rustico with Brendon Peters. Some friends and I did this two years ago and we had so much fun.
Stay in touch by signing up for the Tourism PEI newsletter which includes details on upcoming festivals and events and recipes too!
Have a wonderful summer vacation along our Green Gables Shore.
