Hello, I’ll be visiting PEI Sept 20 thru 22, staying in Summerside. Are there any music events on those dates? Thanks so much, Frank

Hi Frank,

Thanks for reaching out! September is always a great time to be visiting PEI as the weather is still great and there is still lots on the go!

A few options for you to consider in the Summerside and surrounding area:

  • September 20, Harbourfront Theatre has SOS - The ABBA Experience on stage. I’ve heard nothing but great reviews on this if you’re an ABBA fan;
  • September 20 (Sunday evening), Bogside Brewing has live music, usually starting around 6:00 p.m.
  • September 22, Evermoore Brewing has weekly live music with local artists - cover is free, and it starts at 6:00 p.m.

Also, the Once (from Newfoundland) perform on September 20, 2:00 p.m as part of the Under the Spire concert series. The historic St Mary’s church is the venue, which is just a short drive from Summerside.

If you’re willing to drive into Charlottetown, there is lots and lots on the go there. I always recommend checking out the schedule in the monthly Buzz, which is PEI's free arts/culture magazine. Pick up a copy at your place of stay.

Hope that helps!

Al
