I’m planning a visit for September 6 to 9th. Will the tourist type establishments still be open after Labour day?

Hi Rob,
September is a great time to visit the Island, cooler weather and the leaves start changing late in the month.
Certainly, in the past, a lot of places closed up after Labour day. This is less true nowadays. And with the surge in visitors this season a lot of businesses are expecting a very busy fall.
The short answer is there will be plenty still open in September. The further from Charlottetown the higher the likelihood things won't be open. But unless you had your heart set on visiting attractions in Cavendish (a lot of the amusement park staff head back to school) you won't be disappointed.
Hope you have an amazing visit to our beautiful little Island.
Cheers!
